In 1887, Dr. Sttyth Pemberton from Atlanta gave birth to the world of Coca Cola.  He manufactured a non-alcoholic beverage from the leaves of the Andean coca plant and the African cola nut.

Stephan Company separates cocaine from the coca leaves and the remainder is used for flavoring food products. Coca Cola Company purchases coca leaf from Bolivia since 1886.
